Special Education Assistant ~ 1 On 1 ~ 2 Positions Available for the 2026-2027 School Year

The vacancy listed below is posted in compliance with the negotiated agreement between the Xenia Education Support Professionals and the Xenia Community Schools Board of Education. 


Employment Status: 6.5 hours daily (Monday-Friday)

Hourly Rate: $21.71 - $25.24

General Description: Work collaboratively with professional staff in providing special education services to students. Both vacancies are for a 1-On-1 Special Education Assistant at Cox Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:

1. Applicants must meet Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Requirements
   1. Possess a 2-year Associates Degree or 2 years of college credits (48 semester or 72 quarter hrs.) or passage of state paraprofessional standards exam (PARAPRO Test).
2. Maintain a valid Ohio educational aide permit with ESEA qualifier
3. Meet legal requirements for a criminal background check

Salary is in line with the respective salary schedule.
