JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Supervise the fleet maintenance and repair functions, employees, and service facilities in assigned area.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all users and stakeholders. Develop key vendor relationships that will ensure quality service, maintenance and repair.
Be the subject matter expert to all customers in matters related to fleet asset performance, maintenance and repair. Establish fleet asset repair and maintenance agreements to meet the operational needs of customers at the most favorable terms.
Actively participate in the Fleet Management department's safety program creating and sustaining a safe and healthy work environment.? Act as the Safety Leader for your assigned area. Ensure that fleet maintenance operations and vehicles in the assigned area comply with all Department of Transportation and environmental regulations.
Determine the most cost effective and advantageous method of fleet asset repair and maintenance. Control field fleet asset up-fit to ensure customer focus on standardization.? Control unauthorized and unnecessary up-fitting. Monitor fleet asset performance and work with users and suppliers to resolve all operations, quality and safety concerns. Control fleet asset modifications, warranties and recalls.
Assist in the development and Implementation professional education and training programs for all assigned employees.
Create and maintain required records, files, reports, charts, etc. that document fleet asset registrations, inspections, repairs and maintenance information and analysis. Actively support?the Company's Fleet Advisory Board. Actively participate in the Entergy Continuous Improvement Program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
2-4 years of experience supervising a medium size service organization or senior leadership experience; 2-4 years of experience in analyzing information and making and business decisions. Desired: 3-5 years of experience supervising vehicle maintenance and repair operations; 3-5 years of experience supervising a medium size and geographically dispersed operation.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Demonstrated experience working with vehicle specifications and performance. Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve goals and objectives. Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills. Superior communication skills both oral and written. Superior planning, organizing and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Desired: Ability to work extended periods during storm response and support. Experience and knowledge of DOT regulations.

Office environment with minimal physical requirements As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
