Job Description
Turner & Townsend is supporting a major energy client delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy programs across the U.S. This program includes utility-scale generation assets and major transmission developments connecting regional power markets.
We are seeking a Cost Analyst to support cost reporting, product installation analysis, and data-driven insights across this dynamic construction portfolio. This role will play a key part in developing analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools that inform decision-making across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on product and construction cost performance across a portfolio of large-scale projects
- Synthesize data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights
- Develop clear, concise presentations and narratives to communicate cost performance to stakeholders
- Build and maintain dashboards, databases, and data models to support program-wide reporting and forecasting
- Establish and improve data governance, reporting standards, and consistent processes across project teams
- Partner with technical, project, and regional teams to gather data and ensure alignment on reporting requirements
- Present dashboards, analyses, and key findings to internal and client stakeholders in an accessible format
- Support training and adoption of reporting tools and processes across project teams
- Continuously enhance reporting capabilities, focusing on usability, visualization, and decision support
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in construction cost analysis, data analytics, or related field within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills with experience performing deep-dive analysis.
- Proficiency in data tools and platforms such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar (working knowledge of SQL preferred).
- Understanding of construction cost drivers, trades, and project delivery environments.
- Experience developing dashboards, data models, and visualizations to communicate insights. effectively.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheets, reporting, and presentation development.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple data sources across projects and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.Collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
