Job Description
The Head of Cloud provides strategic leadership and enterprise-wide direction for all cloud technologies. This role sets the long-term cloud vision, operational strategy, and architectural roadmap that enables secure, scalable, and high-performing digital capabilities across the firm. The Head of Cloud ensures alignment of cloud modernization efforts with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and financial stewardship. As a senior leader, this role drives innovation, operational excellence, and technology transformation in support of the firm's strategic growth.

- Establish and own the enterprise cloud and platform engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with firm priorities and long‑term business outcomes.
- Oversee architecture, engineering, operations, and governance for cloud platforms, container platforms, middleware, and developer productivity ecosystems.
- Lead execution of multi‑year cloud transformation initiatives, ensuring operational resiliency, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with senior business and technology leaders to integrate cloud strategy into product, data, and security roadmaps.
- Direct the development of unified frameworks, reusable components, APIs, and tooling to accelerate application modernization and improve developer experience.
- Provide executive oversight of large‑scale Kubernetes, middleware modernization, cloud operations, and FinOps practices across the enterprise.
- Ensure robust governance and controls that meet or exceed financial services regulatory, security, and risk‑management requirements.
- Champion a metrics‑driven operating model that enhances reliability, observability, availability, and service quality.
- Cultivate a high‑performing leadership team; recruit, develop, and retain top engineering and architecture talent.
- Manage multi‑million‑dollar budgets, vendor partnerships, and enterprise cloud contracts to maximize value and performance.
