The Wealth and Practice Management Division ensures branch teams and clients have consistent access to high-quality retirement, banking, insurance, mutual fund, and education savings products aligned with the firm’s investment philosophy. We support teams in delivering exceptional client value through end-to-end wealth management—spanning discovery, planning, and implementation—backed by expert services and thought leadership.

Financial Planning advances the firm’s shift from goals-based advice to comprehensive planning by expanding capabilities, tools, and resources. We partner across the division to align and integrate strategy, enabling more teams to consistently deliver client value while evolving planning standards, best practices, and advisory frameworks.

The Financial Planning Advising Specialist I serves as a technical subject matter expert in the Financial Planning. Much of this work requires a broad and deep understanding of financial planning, the firm's Advice and Guidance , and the branch and client experience. This role will be focused primarily on the implementation of a new standardized process for the review of Financial Plans provided to clients to ensure the quality and consistency of the plans being delivered.

What You Will Do:
  • Review financial plans to ensure quality and alignment with firm policies.
  • Partner with Financial Planning teams to educate, coach, and support advisors.
  • Ensure consistent application of planning practices and identify improvements to policies and controls.
  • Evaluate and help refine planning policies for alignment with oversight; build understanding of the firm’s business model and investment philosophy.
  • Support updates to planning policies based on insights from plan reviews.
  • Represent Financial Planning with key stakeholders and branch teams to uphold policy integrity.
  • Collaborate on projects from planning through implementation as the planning SME.
  • Partner across Service, Field Supervision, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to resolve planning-related issues.
  • Monitor industry, competitor, and regulatory trends.
  • Drive results through collaboration with others.
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
