Job Description
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate and schedule all incoming/outgoing requests for services for the Materials and Processes Development Labs.
- Manage Laboratory workflow via Velocity, IFS, Compass and other systems.
- Perform duties of sample custodian, assuring traceability of all samples submitted to the lab.
- Plan sequential laboratory activities, providing labor estimates and completion estimates for each step.
- Create and effectively maintain all build documents within Materials and Process Development Lab work centers and other work centers.
- Collect and verify production data and calculate statistical data for use in reports.
- Check and post data to production logs, records, or reports.
- Carry/move/expedite/inventory hardware/samples/documentation between work centers as required.
- Generate production status reports through collaborative customer communication.
- Work with external suppliers in requesting quotes.
- Create and process purchase requisitions through approval.
- Procure material, lab supplies, etc via Purchasing-Card, adhering to purchasing card standards.
- Work with the accounting department in reconciling accounts.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, anticipating shortage and delays.
- Pull material from Inventory to meet laboratory and production needs.
- Work internal and external material needs.
- Procure materials via internal inventory systems.
- May support general administration tasks.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
