Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Director, US Air and Space Force Programs & Requirements provides expertise to the Electronics Systems Sector Leadership and its Business Areas by:
· Supporting business development by identification, qualification and creation of opportunities
· Development of marketing plans, capture strategies and supporting Industry Days, Symposiums, Professional Events, Conferences, and Trade Shows
· Supporting current business activities with Department of Air Force and the Air National Guard Bureau.
· Regularly interfacing with the Air and Space Staff organizations and Air National Guard Bureau equivalents
This position requires expertise and knowledge of HQ US Air Force, to include the Staff of the Secretary of the Air Force and others to include the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) & Program Acquisition Executive (PAE), and Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force Intl Affairs (SAF/IA). The position requires knowledge and expertise of Air and Space Staff organizations (including NGB/A5/8) as well as budgeting/requirements functions within the Air Force Corporate Process.
The position will develop and maintain close trusted partner relationships with offices of senior military and USG civilian customers, current and prospective, as well as industry partners and suppliers. The position will coordinate with Electronics Systems Business Development, Engineering, Technical Directors and Program Management personnel and support briefings to customers that highlight BAE Systems capabilities and solutions.
The Director, US Air and Space Force Programs & Requirements will be the Service lead and report to the Electronic Systems Sector Vice President of Customer Requirements & Advocacy.
