Compensation: $1,500–$2,000 USD/month
Schedule: Full-time | 40 hours per week aligned with Eastern Time (US)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly creative, proactive, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join their growing production team. This role is ideal for someone who goes beyond simply executing edits and actively contributes creative ideas, storytelling direction, and visual enhancements throughout the production process.

The Video Editor will work closely with the videography and creative teams to transform raw footage into polished, engaging, and performance-focused video content for digital advertising, social media, streaming/OTT campaigns, branding initiatives, and client presentations.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume creative environment, can manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, communicates effectively under pressure, and takes ownership of delivering premium-quality final products.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Editing & Storytelling
  • Edit raw footage into polished, cinematic, and engaging video content optimized for social media, paid advertising, OTT/streaming platforms, and branded campaigns.

  • Develop compelling pacing, storytelling structure, sound design, motion graphics, transitions, and color grading that elevate the final product.

  • Collaborate closely with creative stakeholders while also contributing original ideas and recommendations.

  • Stay current on video trends, platform best practices, and emerging creative styles to continuously improve content performance.

  • Export and optimize content across multiple formats and aspect ratios including 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, and 1:1.

Client Revisions & Quality Control
  • Manage multiple rounds of revisions professionally and efficiently.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet high-quality standards for audio, color consistency, branding, pacing, and overall polish.

  • Clearly communicate creative decisions and incorporate feedback effectively.

Workflow & Project Management
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Maintain organized project files, templates, assets, b-roll libraries, and backup systems.

  • Work independently with strong accountability and time management in a fully remote setting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and creative output.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably within an agency, media company, or high-volume creative environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

  • Experience with color grading and audio mixing; DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, motion graphics, and direct-response creative.

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Openness to learning and utilizing emerging Generative AI tools and workflows within the creative process.

  • Portfolio or demo reel showcasing a range of editing styles including social content, paid advertising, commercials, and brand storytelling.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience editing paid social ads, YouTube ads, OTT commercials, or automotive-related content.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Frame.io, Adobe Creative Cloud, AI-assisted editing tools, and motion graphic workflows.

  • Understanding of performance-driven creative and how video impacts engagement, leads, and conversions.
