Description
About the role:
The Inbound / Outbound Associate will be receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role helps with efficient warehouse operations by handling both incoming and outgoing goods in a timely and organized manner.
What you would be expected to do:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect products for damage, quality issues, and discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label, sort, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to supervisors.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Pick products according to replenishment schedules, customer orders and packing lists.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Prepare movement documentation, labels, and manifests.
- Load outbound shipments safely and efficiently.
- Verify order accuracy before dispatch.
- Process EWMS + Kazi Plan CRM inventory movement
- Coordinate with carriers and transportation teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Assist with stock reconciliation and discrepancy investigations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Help with warehouse audits and stock-taking activities.
- Safety and Housekeeping
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align inventory data with operational needs.
- Help with inbound receiving teams to ensure accurate goods-received notes (GRNs) and supplier documentation.
- Assist the warehouse manager with KPI reporting, stock accuracy targets, and operational performance reviews.
- Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
You might be a strong candidate if you:
- Has a Diploma or degree qualification from a recognized institution preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Related Course.
- Ability to multi-task and address priorities
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse inventory, stock control, or logistics coordination role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with a WMS (e.g. SAP WM/EWM, Oracle WMS, Manhattan, Infor, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation); ERP experience is an advantage.
- Good numerical aptitude and attention to detail; comfortable working with datasets
- Relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
- Very good people person skills; able to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, members and external partners,
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
