Job Description

Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students.

The Health Science Work-Study Student will perform assigned duties related to preparing for the Teaching and Learning Conference, lab setup, and assisting the Teaching and Learning co-chairs as needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use the printer to make copies and scans
  • Laminate infographics
  • Collect handouts
  • Put together swag bags
  • Print and assemble name tags
  • Assist in setting up rooms for conferences
  • Collect and tabulate post-conference survey results

General Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a student at the college, with work-study eligibility.
  • No prior experience is required, though customer service or office support experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and approachable attitude.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 per hour

Classification: Work-Study

Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Student must have completed the current FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
  • Maintain a minimum of 1 credit hour or more of enrollment in eligible courses.
  • Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
  • The student cannot have any incomplete financial aid requirements.
