Attendant Care Worker - Horizons - FTEssential Responsibilities:

- Provide support services such as mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care to clients.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.
- Interact with clients in a positive and supporting manner.
- Coordinate with the appropriate clinical staff to facilitate the treatment plan outlined for the client.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age and at least three years older than the youth.
Required License/Certifications/Registrations
- Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first (based on location licensing requirements).
- Kansas Driver’s License (if position requires driving)
- Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)
- Successfully pass KBI, DCF, child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and routine motor-vehicle screens.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education and Experience
- Two years of experience working with adults or children in a health-related field.
- Experience working in a KDHE facility.
Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations
- none
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
With or without accommodation.
- Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
