- Manage a High-Performing Team
- You will be responsible for training and managing team members to achieve operational excellence. You will be involved in the hiring and development of your team. You will have between 5-8 direct reports and will be overseeing repairs and maintenance for around 3,000 homes.
- Conduct regular check-ins, set clear goals, and help team members grow in their roles.

- Drive Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance execution, ensuring work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and resolve process challenges to improve speed, quality, and communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dispatch, Vendor Management, Operations) to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent results.
- Provide deep understanding of single family home maintenance and repairs.
- Leverage In-House Technicians
- Expand and optimize Evernest’s internal maintenance technician operations to increase capacity, utilization, and profitability.
- Drive technician performance, ensuring high-quality workmanship, strong communication, and accountability.
- Ensure Quality and Client Experience
- Promote a “right-first-time” culture that emphasizes craftsmanship, clarity, and proactive updates.
- Monitor quality, resolve escalations, and continuously improve client and resident satisfaction.
- Manage Costs and Vendor Performance
- Track maintenance spending, identify trends, and support initiatives to improve efficiency and control costs.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistency in pricing, quality, and service.
- Support the use of Evernest’s price book, standards, and technology tools across your assigned markets.

- 3+ years of experience in property maintenance or construction operations, ideally within the SFR (single-family rental) industry.
- Proven management experience hiring, training, and developing teams in an operational environment.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes, workflows, and vendor management.
- Comfort with technology and data analysis; ability to use dashboards and systems to monitor team performance.
- Root-Cause Problem Solving – Digs beyond surface issues to identify underlying process or training gaps.
- Data-Informed Judgment – Uses information to make balanced, timely decisions.
- Prioritization Under Pressure – Can quickly determine what matters most when everything feels urgent.

Pay Range: $15 - $18 per hour
