Job Title: DAS Intern (Field, Proposal & RF Support)
Department: DAS
Reports to: Rishi Mahajan
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated DAS Intern to support Distributed Antenna System (DAS) projects across pre-bid, planning, RF, and field coordination activities. This role provides exposure to the proposal and pre-bid process, basic RF engineering concepts, and hands-on field experience, working closely with project managers, RF engineers, field teams, and vendor partners to support successful wireless infrastructure deployments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Pre-Bid & Proposal Support
- Assist with reviewing RFPs, RFIs, and bid documentation
- Extract, organize, and track key scope, RF requirements, deliverables, and milestones from RFPs
- Support preparation of proposals, bid responses, and supporting technical documentation
- Assist with pricing exercises, including vendor quote collection and cost comparisons
- Track bid assumptions, clarifications, and RF-related inputs throughout the pre-bid phase
Project & Coordination Support
- Assist Project Managers with project setup, tracking, and coordination
- Maintain job-level documentation, schedules, and project tracking logs
- Support coordination between PMs, RF engineers, field staff, and internal stakeholders
- Help ensure accuracy and completeness of project, proposal, and close-out documentation
Field / Hands-On DAS & RF Exposure
- Attend site walks and field visits to gain hands-on exposure to DAS environments
- Assist with on-site RF data collection activities under supervision (e.g., measurements, documentation, walk testing support)
- Observe DAS installation activities including antennas, cabling, headend equipment, and infrastructure
- Support field teams with coordination, safety compliance, and documentation tasks
- Gain familiarity with RF testing workflows and site conditions that impact system performance
RF & Technical Support
- Develop a basic understanding of RF engineering concepts related to DAS (signal coverage, interference, propagation, and system performance)
- Assist with reviewing RF results and test data prepared by RF engineers
- Support creation and organization of RF close-out documents and deliverables
- Help track RF-related data, results, and issues across projects
- Flag data inconsistencies, risks, or gaps to project and RF engineering teams
Vendor & Data Support
- Interact with vendors and suppliers to support pricing, RF scope alignment, and proposal efforts
- Assist with tracking vendor responses and technical inputs
- Support basic analysis of pricing, RF data, schedules, and project metrics
- Maintain organized records of vendor, pricing, and RF documentation
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and software
- Basic understanding of RF engineering fundamentals (or strong interest in learning RF concepts)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with comfort working in spreadsheets and technical documents
- Interest in wireless infrastructure, DAS, and telecom construction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn bid processes, RF workflows, and field operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
