Location: Warton - Hybrid, 3 days per week on site or travel to UK and International Suppliers

Salary: £51,772+ (DOE)

Job Description:

You’ll play an important role within the FCAS Procurement Team, supporting future combat air capability programmes through strategic supplier and partner coordination. Working across integrated project teams, you’ll help coordinate highly detailed procurement activities, support bid submissions and help oversee contractual and funding requirements that enable early-stage technology development across a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Collaborating with engineering, project controls and external partners, you’ll contribute to supply chain strategies, governance activities and programme delivery across the GCAP portfolio. This role offers exposure to advanced aerospace programmes, international collaboration opportunities and considerable professional development within a highly collaborative and forward-looking team.

Core duties:

  • Governing strategic supplier activities, supporting contracts, orderbooks and procurement delivery across FCAS programmes
  • Collaborating with engineering and project teams to develop supply chain strategies aligned to programme requirements
  • Supporting bid submissions, coordinating contractual and funding information to enable successful programme delivery
  • Building good stakeholder relationships across suppliers, partners and internal functions to support integrated working
  • Monitoring spend and supplier performance, supporting governance, negotiations and alignment to planned budgets

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive procurement experience within fast-paced, high-volume or highly regulated industry environments
  • Considerable experience fostering stakeholder relations and communications, building collaborative bridges across internal and external teams
  • Experience negotiating contracts, coordinating bids, managing supplier relationships and applying commercial terms and conditions knowledge
  • Good evaluative skills, compiling data and presenting recommendations through reports and presentations
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to support procurement activities, reporting and operational strategy-making

The Air Procurement Team:

Supporting future combat air capability programmes, this function works across procurement, engineering and project teams to deliver innovative supply chain solutions. Coordinating strategic supplier relationships and multi-layered programme activity, it plays a vital role in enabling early-stage technology development, international collaboration and long-term business growth.
