Job Description

The Sales/Meeting Connections Manager is an entry-level, fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Selling guest rooms, meeting space & other Hyatt services to customer groups

  • Managing accounts

  • Conducting site inspections

  • Solicit & generate business

  • Client entertaining

  • Travel to tradeshows

  • Sales calls

  • Preparing & presenting effective proposals

  • Maintaining well organized documentation & reports

  • Utilize Hyatt systems & coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate

  • Participate/may lead event meetings & sales meetings

  • Works as a team member with the sales & catering staff as well as with assigned admin assistants & other support staff

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • 1-2 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
  • Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
