Senior Director of Compliance
Full-time | Remote
As a Senior Director of Compliance you will provide leadership and demonstrate experience in healthcare regulatory compliance to support a growing, multi-state healthcare organization. Reporting to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, this individual will assist in the oversight of the compliance program while also serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership, Talent/Human Resources, and operations, providing proactive risk mitigation, regulatory guidance, and employment-related counsel across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Management Support
- Collaborate/coordinate with internal and external counsel to assist with management of
external litigation (e.g., employment, professional and general liability matters).- Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including the False Claims Act and
the Anti-Kickback Statute - Prepare and deliver training and communications to promote awareness of compliance
and legal issues - Maintain and report metrics to leadership
- Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including the False Claims Act and
- Collaborate/coordinate with internal and external counsel to assist with management of
- Healthcare Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Lead internal investigations and hotline management
- Update and manage internal compliance policies
- Support the review of internal policies and procedures for regulatory alignment
- Partner with others on audits, investigations, and corrective action plans
- Assist with monitoring licensing and compliance requirements across states
- Advise operational leaders on regulatory risk mitigation and compliance controls
- Develop and oversee corrective action plans and remediation efforts
- Review performance data, patient satisfaction metrics, and clinical outcomes to guide
decision-making and program adjustments
- Corporate & Operational Support
- Support Merger & Acquisition (M&A) due diligence and integration efforts as needed
- Develop practical, business-oriented legal solutions aligned with organizational goals
- Advise operations team on compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher education from an accredited school
- At least Four (4) years or more of relevant leadership experience
- Significant experience in compliance program management
- Healthcare industry experience
- Travel up to 15% may be required to attend hearings, conduct site visits, attend
meetings, deliver training and conferences, etc. - Overnight travel may be expected for this role
Preferred
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state organizations
- Familiarity with behavioral health or substance use disorder regulatory landscape
