About the role 

You will lead a large, global technology solutions organisation supporting Capital Markets trading platforms and front office solutions. This role owns the modernisation and delivery of complex engineering portfolios, with a strong mandate to transform ways of working and accelerate the practical adoption of AI across development and quality practices. Success is defined by measurable improvements in engineering productivity, solution quality, stakeholder confidence and organisational agility.

What you will be doing

• Lead and develop a large, multi disciplinary technology organisation across engineering, architecture and quality teams. 
• Drive a clear, pragmatic AI agenda across engineering to improve productivity, quality and delivery outcomes. 
• Transform long established engineering organisations into modern, agile and product aligned ways of working. 
• Partner closely with product and solutions leaders to align technology execution with business outcomes. 
• Act as a senior advocate for engineering, balancing delivery commitments with sustainable technical excellence. 
• Build consensus across highly matrixed stakeholders while navigating complex organisational dynamics. 
• Establish clear portfolio priorities, delivery governance and outcome based success measures. 
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on continuous improvement, experimentation and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience leading large, complex technology organisations at scale. 
• Strong background delivering technology solutions within Capital Markets or regulated financial services environments. 
• Proven ability to transform established organisations and operating models into modern engineering practices. 
• Deep experience influencing without direct authority in highly matrixed, global environments. 
• Advanced stakeholder management skills, including building alignment across product, technology and business leaders. 
• Hands on experience driving engineering productivity, quality improvement and automation initiatives. 
• Strong commercial and delivery acumen across large, multi year technology portfolios.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with front office trading or capital markets platforms and ecosystems. 
• Exposure to AI enabled engineering practices, developer tooling or intelligent automation. 
• Background spanning fintech, investment banking, broker dealer or large scale financial institutions. 
• Experience leading technology organisations through significant cultural or operational change.
