
Marketing Director
Job Description
Position Summary
The Marketing Director serves as the sales and relationship leader within the community.
This role is responsible for driving occupancy growth through relationship-building, community outreach, tours, follow-up systems, and exceptional family experiences.
The Marketing Director partners closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to strengthen census growth, referral partnerships, community reputation, and overall community energy.
This is not a passive desk role.
This is a relationship-driven leadership position for someone who is proactive, organized, compassionate, and motivated by impact.
Key Responsibilities
Census Growth & Sales
- Conduct community tours with prospective residents and families
- Manage and maintain lead follow-up systems
- Support inquiry-to-move-in conversion efforts
- Assist with move-in coordination and family communication
- Maintain accurate census and prospect tracking
Community Outreach & Networking
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Hospitals
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Home health agencies
- Hospice providers
- Case managers
- Social workers
- Community organizations
- Represent the community at networking and outreach events
- Develop referral partnerships within the local market
Marketing & Community Presence
- Support community marketing initiatives and events
- Assist with social media and community visibility efforts
- Help maintain a welcoming, professional community presentation
- Identify opportunities to improve reputation and engagement
Leadership & Operations Support
- Partner with the Executive Director and department leaders on census strategy
- Communicate barriers, opportunities, and market feedback proactively
- Support a positive and collaborative team culture
- Demonstrate urgency, professionalism, and accountability daily
Qualifications
- Senior living, healthcare, sales, marketing, hospitality, or relationship management experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust quickly with families and referral partners
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated with strong follow-through
- Comfortable networking and engaging with the public
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and communication technology proficiency required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
