The Choice Senior Specialist 1 will act as a subject matter expert responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of credentialing, Applied Processes and commission-related functions across the Choice Production Teams. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of carrier credentials, commission statements, ID management, audit activities, SOP creation and updates and handling of escalated issues.

 

As a trusted team resource, the Senior Specialist serves as a mentor to peers, acts as a primary backup to the supervisor for scheduling and complex inquiries and contributes to process improvement through documentation, analysis, and operational support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily credentialing, Applied Processes, and commission operations
  • Process carrier credentials, commission statements, and ID-related requests accurately and on time
  • Perform audits, reconciliations, and recurring file processing tasks
  • Maintain and update SOPs and supporting documentation
  • Triage and resolve escalations in a timely and professional manner
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to team members
  • Provide backup support to the supervisor as needed, including scheduling and handling complex inquiries
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization 
  • Support the processing of work when business need requires and capacity allows

Strong Preference

  • Prior Choice experience is required
  • Demonstrated execution and knowledge of tools supporting review and uploading of work
  • Proven experience with recurring file processing, audits, and reconciliation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating SOPs and process documentation
  • Prior experience triaging and managing escalations
  • Ability to mentor peers and provide frontline backup to supervisors

Qualifications

  • Capabilities typically acquired through an Associate`s degree or equivalent experience and preferably 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • Technical proficiency in company systems
  • Subject matter expertise in all lines of business for the transactions within authority limit
  • Proficient personal computer and keyboard skills
  • Ability to work in a high production environment, balancing both quality and productivity demands
  • Three years experience as a Production or Operations Specialist with proven leadership capabilities
