Summary/Purpose
The Operations Supervisor drives the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse’s Shipping Packaging, and Support materials. The primary responsibility will be to assure the Safety of all team members, on time delivery to our customers with zero customer non-conformances. The Operations Supervisor is also responsible for continual improvements while assuring that team members are following work standards. Additional responsibilities will include working with the Distribution Center Manager to ensure financial responsibilities are met and strategic planning as necessary.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Ensuring the safety of all employees and visitors
Assist with the overall security and safety of the facility to include fire and security system, ID badge system
Work with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to drive improvement.
Support development and execution of Work Instructions.
Assist with the overall maintenance of the facility
Manage the scheduling of employee hours to include reconciling hours, vacation and weekly payroll approvals
Responsible for compliance to all corporate safety policies and procedures affecting the warehouse
Coaching and corrective counseling employees on behavioral and performance issues.
Coordinate daily operational activities in accordance with work standards to meet customer shipments with zero customer complaints.
Work with other department managers to fully understand and meet customer expectations
Support Toyota Production System principles of lean
Develop, justify, implement improvement warehouse projects
Maintain KPI measurements data and create action plans for substandard performance with HR
Completing corrective actions for customers non conformances
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise all Warehouse, including Packaging, Shipping and Support Materials Employees
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in Distribution /Warehousing and Logistics
Project Management, presentation, effective communication, Problem Solving (8 step)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
A high level of understanding of Warehousing, Material Handling, and Logistics best practices
Good understanding of Warehouse management software (WMS). (Oracle experience is a plus)
Interpersonal skills.

Good understanding and ability to complete customer complaints using 8 steps of problem solving
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree desired with 3- 5 years distribution experience or equivalent experience.
Associates Degree with commensurate experience in distribution
Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Work is mostly performed in a shop floor/distribution center setting with normal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. During the course of investigations, moving of heavy product, use of scanners and use of forklifts and other equipment will be required.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to shop (warehouse/production) areas which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes and protective gloves.
Position will require moderate lifting of cartons between 20 and 40 lbs. Occasionally cartons weighing over 40 lbs
Knowledge of and adherence to all safety guidelines and standards.
Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 5% of time
