Description

Capstone Technology Partners is seeking a versatile intern to support the continued improvement of our internal business systems, employee communications, security processes, and operational workflows. This role is ideal for a student interested in technology, cybersecurity, cloud systems, process improvement, and technical documentation.
● The intern will assist with maintaining internal digital tools, improving operational processes, supporting CMMC Level 2 readiness activities, researching emerging technologies, and helping the team document and track work across internal initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

● Assist with day-to-day internal operations initiatives, including process documentation, workflow improvement, internal communications support, and coordination across business and technical teams.
● Support the maintenance and improvement of Capstone’s internal employee portal, including updating content, organizing information, improving usability, and assisting with employee communications.
● Create and maintain internal documentation, standard operating procedures, quick-reference guides, technical briefs, and research summaries for stakeholders.
● Research and prototype ways to improve internal workflows using automation, cloud tools, AI-enabled productivity tools, dashboards, or lightweight scripts.
● Assist with internal reviews of access control policies, user access lists, and operational procedures to support alignment with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 requirements.
● Use Asana to support task tracking, sprint coordination, status updates, milestone tracking, and cross-functional project visibility
● Conduct research into relevant AI, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies that may improve internal operations, employee productivity, or secure information management.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

● Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Operations Management, or a related field.
● Strong organizational, research, and written communication skills.
● Interest in internal operations, business systems, cybersecurity, cloud computing, or process improvement.
● Comfortable learning and using collaboration and project management tools such as Asana, Google Workspace or similar platforms.
● Ability to document processes clearly and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
● Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or RMF
● Exposure to AI tools, knowledge management systems, or internal portal/content management platforms.
