Conducts daily, weekly and monthly operational and planning meetings with direct reports to keep them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and company
Completes payroll approvals and scheduling for hourly employees
Monitors work productivity and recommends and implements changes to improve work productivity
Plans and monitors workload for timely and accurate completion of tasks
Coordinates workflow and procedures to maximize service
Coaches and counsels direct reports on performance issues
Completes annual and semi-annual (where appropriate) performance appraisals for all direct reports in a timely manner and meets with staff to discuss and deliver the final appraisal
Arranges for cross training of team to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions
Counsels direct reports on educational and job opportunities which will enhance their career development
Administers all policies and procedures set forth by the company
Aligns management practices according to applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements pertaining to direct or indirect reports
