What You’ll Be Doing
As our Maintenance Technician (2nd shift), you’ll play a critical role in repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment and machinery in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
- Replace faulty components to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Conduct routine maintenance on injection molding equipment
- Complete work orders in support of production operations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow maintenance schedules and respond to equipment needs as required by management
What You Bring
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions
- Write routine reports and communicate effectively with team members and management
- Apply basic math skills, including algebra and geometry, to technical tasks
- Analyze problems, gather data, and implement effective solutions
- Interpret technical instructions in diagram and mathematical form
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and basic database systems (e.g., Access)
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of injection molding maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Intermediate knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically active work
- Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Capable of climbing, balancing, and working in varied physical positions
- Adequate vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, and focus adjustment)
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noise
- Occasional work at heights
- Ability to travel locally up to 25% and operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM), Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays)
