Revenue Accounting Analyst

Job Description

SUMMARY

  • Review and assess revenue contracts and sales orders to determine proper recognition and revenue allocation
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) and company policies in recognizing revenue
  • Develop, establish, and maintain month-end close procedures and best practices that will effectively scale
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for stakeholders
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with Business Development, Contracts, and leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage revenue-related month-end close procedures, including deferred revenue schedules
  • Assist with financial statement audits, SOX compliance, and annual audits
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable invoicing, Collections, and Treasury Management
  • Support ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as required, including design of accounting operational processes, business processes, automation activities, data analysis and management reporting
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to evaluate pricing, quoting, and profitability
  • Foster a positive team culture, continuous improvement, and cross-department communication

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606), cost accounting principles, and internal control systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ERP skills, with Expertise in advanced Excel functions and EPICOR preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in process improvement and cross-department collaboration within manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and increase shareholder value in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
