Job Description


Purpose of Position:

Perform expert administrative duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature in support a senior level executive who directs multiple major functions; interact daily with senior management and company clients, perform independently under general instructions on a wide variety of special project; prepare special reports, compile and summarize data and organize the flow of work; (duties listed are representative and incumbents in some departments may do some or all of these, or may do simlar level work not listed)

Essential Functions:

  • On behalf of the AVP of Medical Services, interact with senior managers, executives and company clients to accomplish work unit’s strategic objectives
  • Relieve supervisor’s workload by preparing routine special reports which required knowledge and understanding of work unit and company objectives, policies and strategies
  • Oversee maintenance of items such as budgets, purchase requests, maintenance work orders, travel requests, expense reports, etc., often acting on behalf of supervisor
  • Operating on own initiative, undertaking and accomplishing follow-up actions on behalf of supervisor to ensure projects, reports, and administrative issues are completed on time
  • May perform some or all duties of a senior administrative specialist
  • May direct the work of subordinate level administrative staff
  • Provide support to the AVP of Medical Services by preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items
  • Perform other duties as assigned
