Job Description
The patient visit is our most critical moment of truth. How clinicians document, how decision support fires, how intake routes, and how follow-ups get scheduled - each of those directly impacts patient outcomes, provider productivity, and unit economics at the same time. We want our EHRs to operate as high-performance clinical platforms, not just systems of record (i.e., just part of doing business)
As Sr. Manager, Clinical Platforms, you will own and optimize some of the most important decisions shaping that experience. You'll find where friction is costing us in outcomes, provider time, or revenue cycle. You'll design the tooling and workflow changes to fix it. And you'll drive adoption across the practice.
This is a high-leverage seat. The work you ship will be felt by 1,000+ clinicians across the country, often within the quarter you launch it. You'll partner closely with clinical leadership, operations, and product and engineering, reporting to the VP, Operational Programs.
This role is ideal for someone who's deeply analytical, loves building, thrives in ambiguity, and wants ownership over work that compounds.
About Talkiatry
Talkiatry is transforming mental health care by making high-quality psychiatry more accessible, human, and sustainable for both patients and clinicians. Co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist, we were built to solve one of healthcare’s most urgent challenges: millions of people struggle to access mental health care, while clinicians face growing administrative burden and burnout. Through our technology-powered, in-network platform, we’re changing that, creating a better experience for patients and empowering clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care.
Today, Talkiatry is the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the U.S., with 750+ psychiatrists, 250+ therapists, and more than two million patient visits delivered nationwide. At our scale, every innovation has real impact. Every workflow we improve, every technology solution we build, and every patient experience we redesign helps thousands of clinicians provide better care to hundreds of thousands of patients. We’re not just growing quickly — we’re redefining how behavioral healthcare is delivered in America.
Joining Talkiatry means joining a mission-driven team that is solving complex problems at scale, driving meaningful change in healthcare, and building the future of mental health care with compassion, innovation, and purpose.
You Will
Diagnose where operations and workflows break. Translate anecdotal friction across clinical, operational, and support workflows into structured problem statements with quantified ROI. Partner with clinical and operational leaders to pick the highest-impact bets for provider experience, patient outcomes, and unit economics.
Design and ship the fixes. Build EHR-enabled solutions (smart forms, clinical alerts, decision support, automation, intake flows, etc) that make clinicians faster, more accurate, and less burdened. Evaluate and integrate external vendors, AI tools, and automation platforms when they extend capability faster than we can build.
Run initiatives from 0→1 and 1→scale. Scope, prioritize, build, test, and roll out cross-functional programs. Create structure where none exists; inherit it where it does, and improve it.
Own adoption, not just launch. Drive change management across clinical and operational teams. "We launched it" is not the finish line. A solution nobody uses doesn't count.
Instrument for impact. Define success metrics before launch. Build the reporting so every initiative produces leading indicators, not lagging ones. Measure honestly, and iterate on what underdelivers.
You Have
4 to 6+ years in operations, strategic programs, product management, or product operations at a scaling or post-scale company.
Strong collaboration with technical partners. Experience working closely with engineering teams, clinical informatics, and data teams to create and deliver a successful solution.
Empathy for providers and clinical teams. You understand provider workflows, documentation processes, and realities of clinical practice, and translate their needs into intuitive, efficient experiences.
Strong systems thinking. Ability to design workflows that account for upstream/downstream dependencies, user experience, and reporting needs.
High Tech Fluency. You are comfortable adopting new tools and leveraging AI, automation and/or low code tools to enable workflows. You have experience leading system enablement, platform governance, or enterprise tooling in care operations.
Self-starter with a “builder” mindset. Experience creating and/or scaling tech-enabled solutions from scratch. Proven success managing complex implementations from scoping through post-launch refinement.
Analytical depth. SQL, spreadsheets, and BI tools are your native language. You reach for data before narrative, and you define success metrics before you ship. You understand how workflow and configuration choices impact reporting.
Ownership track record. You've led cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, including the adoption work most people quietly drop. You do the work, not just the slides. You're the first to own a miss, and the last to need credit.
Execution in ambiguity. You've operated in fast-moving environments with high ownership and created structure, momentum, and accountability where none existed.
Nice to have:
Real EHR experience. You've been inside eCW, Epic, Athena, Healthie, Canvas, or an API-first EMR (MedPlum, Elation, OystEHR), not adjacent to one. You know what it takes to ship real changes inside a clinical system.
Automation fluency. Comfortable in low-code platforms (n8n, Zapier, Workato), with a clear point of view on when to build, when to buy, and when to integrate
Have experience in behavioral health, digital health, multi-specialty outpatient settings.
Experience evaluating or implementing AI-driven clinical tools.
High-growth startup, consulting, or health tech experience.
