Job Title: Waxer
Department: Mold Preparation
Reports To: Department Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary Responsible for the application of wax and/or cleaners, and tape in accordance with established wax procedures and schedule for gelcoat production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes.
- Ability to use high-speed pneumatic power tools (i.e., DA sander) and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes.
- Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic.
- Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.
- Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced, noisy environment while wearing all required PPE (including eye, steel toe shoes, hearing, etc.).
- Practice good housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Mathematical Skills
General math skills required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to work at, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., sitting, squatting, and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for most of the workday. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes, and odors daily. Physical exertion is required.
