Atlantic Fuels Service Technician

The Propane & Oil Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating systems for our customers. Atlantic Fuels techs provide professionalism, reliability, and service. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Install, service, and repair residential propane gas and oil heating systems. 
• Install, maintain, and repair propane tanks, piping, and appliances.
• Perform propane gas checks and provide service for propane systems.
• Detailed boiler, burner and oil tank systems cleanings.
• Clear communication with customers to provide updates and recommendations as needed.
• Close communication with service department sta􀆯 regarding needs and scheduling.
• Ability to calmly navigate changes in schedule and in the field.
• Find opportunities for services, upgrades, and new installations.
• Maintain and track inventory in assigned service vehicle.
• Order supplies and submit purchase orders from supply houses as needed.
• Accurately document all work performed and parts for billing.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including system failures, boiler breakdowns, and urgent heating issues.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• NH Gas Fitter license.
• 3+ years of relevant service or HVAC experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Independent, self-driven work ethic with strong time management skills.
• Effective communication skills with both co-workers and customers.
• Physical ability to work in tight spaces, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and lift/move 50-75 lbs.
• Participation in the on-call rotation.
• Ability to handle fast paced changes on the fly. Positive attitude a must!

Physical requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
• Frequent use of hands and arms to reach, feel, handle, or pull.
• Ability to work in tight spaces
• Ability to lift/move 50-75 lb objects

Preferred:

• DOT Medical Card, or willingness to obtain.
• CDL with Tank and Haz-Mat endorsement, or willingness to obtain.
• Maine Burner & Gas License
• NORA Silver Oil Heat Technician Certificate.
• NH Voluntary Heating Technician Certification.
• Optional: A/C experience or certifications.
