Job Description

Who is Flock?

Every community deserves to be safe, it’s a fundamental right. Our mission is simple - to build technology that reduces crime and protects privacy. Flock partners with cities, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods to help protect where people live, work, and play. Last year, Flock technology supported over 1 million criminal investigations, helped solve approximately 20% of reported crimes in areas where it is deployed, and played a role in locating more than 10,000 missing people.

We are a high-performance team united by urgency, ownership, and a shared commitment to meaningful impact. The work is fast-paced and the expectations are high. We push beyond perceived limits, support each other, and hold ourselves accountable to delivering results that matter.

With over $1B in funding and an $8.3B valuation, we are scaling with intention and investing in the people who will help us build what others said could not be done. At Flock, you will find the opportunity to grow quickly, take on real responsibility, and contribute to something bigger than yourself.

The Opportunity

Flock is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, administration and continuous improvement of our global benefits programs. This role sits within HR, reporting to the VP, Total Rewards, and is responsible for leading our benefits efforts in delivering a high-quality employee experience while maintaining strong operational rigor and compliance.

The Benefits Manager serves as a thought leader in the space and partners closely with HR business partners, recruiting, finance, vendors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure benefits programs attract, reward, and retain talent while operating effectively at scale.

The Skillset

  • Lead the day-to-day administration of global benefits programs and ensure employees receive timely, accurate support for benefit questions, issues, escalations, claims, and appeals.

  • Optimize our self-insured benefits footprint through rigorous, ongoing data review

  • Own key benefits operations, including enrollments, terminations, new hire orientations, offboarding, records management, and employee lifecycle support related to benefits.

  • Partner with external vendors and brokers to ensure strong service delivery, proactively resolve operational issues, and improve the overall employee benefits experience.

  • Support annual renewal cycles and ongoing program administration for health and wellbeing offerings.

  • Maintain compliance with benefits-related requirements and reporting, including administration processes, audits, and regulatory obligations.

  • Ensure benefit elections and data are accurately reflected across systems, carriers, payroll, and related integrations.

  • Oversee billing reconciliation, reporting, process documentation, and operational controls that improve efficiency and data integrity.

  • Partner with the broader Total Rewards team to develop communications, training, and education that help employees and partner teams understand available programs.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Flock's total rewards philosophy and benefits strategy through scalable processes, thoughtful problem solving, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Deep experience in benefits administration, benefits program management, or HR operations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with data, metrics, and process details.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support employees and influence cross-functional partners.

  • Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environments.

  • Strong project and process management skills, with a track record of building and improving operational workflows.

  • A practical, employee-centered mindset and a commitment to delivering a best-in-class benefits experience.

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay; we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.
