Overview

The Systems Administrator role for Centerline Logistics works to recommend, deploy and maintain IT systems, applications, and infrastructure across all sites and vessels. This role serves as Tier 2 helpdesk, supporting technical issues and project lifecycles, as well as POC for all backend processes and applications. This specific role for the Channelview, TX location will be the primary and sole POC for the office, supported by a team based in Seattle. Some additional T1 and Fleet duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and support long-term IT strategies.
  • Implement systems using industry best practices in compliance with CLL processes.
  • Deploy/manage/improve hardware, software, application, and network services.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Perform audits, backups, restores, and troubleshooting.
  • Support application development and analyze performance.
  • Recommend and implement upgrades and improvements.
  • Document processes and configurations.
  • Mentor helpdesk staff and provide top-tier support.
  • Participate in emergency on-call schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience with VMWare, Azure, Entra, Meraki, Sophos, Office365.
  • Experience with IIS, SQL, Veeam, SharePoint.
  • Programming (ASP, TSQL, PowerShell, scripting).
  • Hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Documentation and process maintenance.
  • Proficient in Windows, enterprise networking, and Microsoft products.
  • Willing to travel to ships and shipyards.
  • Must pass background checks for port access.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication; customer service focus.
  • Research hardware/software issues and present solutions clearly.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Condition and Environment

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk.
  • May be required to travel both domestically and internationally for up to two weeks at one time.

Expected Hours of Work

  • Normal office hours are 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday
  • Due to global nature of the company and scope of the role, duties may require being available periodically outside of normal working hours
