Summary


The On-Call Admissions Associate advances Principia by delivering exceptional campus visit experiences, supporting admissions events, and ensuring seamless engagement for prospective families. Reporting to the Director of Admission, this role plays a critical part in Admissions Visit Days and collaborates closely with administration, school faculty and students to help grow enrollment. Success in this role draws on hospitality, interpersonal awareness, organization, responsiveness, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as a welcoming and knowledgeable presence for prospective students and families during Admission Visit Days
  • Assists in coordinating and executing Visit Day programming (approximately 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., eight times annually)
  • Escorts prospective students and parents throughout campus, ensuring timely and smooth transitions between scheduled activities
  • Supports the flow of the day by guiding small groups between classes, meetings, and program elements
  • Shares authentic insights and perspectives as a current or former Principia parent to help families understand the school community today
  • Engages naturally in conversation with students and parents, answering questions and fostering a sense of connection
  • Supports the Admissions team in creating a warm, organized, and seamless visit experience from arrival through departure
  • Assists with eventlogistics, including check-in, wayfinding, and coordination across multiple campus locations
  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and student ambassadors to ensure a consistent and positive experience for visitors
  • Demonstrates flexibility, professionalism, and a strong service mindset in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant walking and standing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Student of Christian Science preferred 
  • Supportive of Principia’s guiding statements as articulated here https://www.principia.edu/about/guiding-statements
  • Familiarity with Principia School or experience as a current or former Principia parent strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in customer service, education, event support, or a school community setting is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to engage positively with both adults and students, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time and navigate campus throughout the duration of Visit Day programming 
  • Ability to successfully complete required school-based training and clearances, including child safety training (e.g., Vector Training) and any applicable background checks
