As a Life Management Engineer, you will apply scientific and engineering methodologies to demonstrate, through testing or analysis, the performance and implementation potential of a concept.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with GE Aerospace design communities in the development and life management approaches and support life methods for Avio Aero components

  • Execute tasks with a primary focus area of life management for military and commercial applications

  • Participate in technology maturation projects, working with business leaders to initiate and drive new technology programs in computational or experimental methods for the design and lifing of engine components

  • Develop and maintain efficient relationships with both internal and external organizations to accelerate and expand the ability to deliver new technology in primary focus areas to our business customers

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field with previous experience in industrial environment

  • Experience in applied fracture mechanics and damage model development

  • Experience in developing life prediction models and methods

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work across all functions/departments as part of a team

  • Fluent in English and Italian

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Domain knowledge in gas turbine design and gas turbine lifing technologies
