Job Description
Role: Logistics Operative
Contract: Full time permanent
Hours: 09:00-18:00 Monday to Friday
Location: Courtstown Industrial Estate Cork
Salary bracket: €31,000-33,500 per annum depending on level of experience
Purpose Of The Role:
An excellent opportunity has opened up at our Cork Depot for a Logistics Operative. The successful applicant will be responsible for scanning and offloading inbound and outbound freight, house-keeping and general transit terminal activity. Key Responsibilities:
- Scanning and offloading of inbound freight and ensuring all out turns are complete.
- Scanning and loading all outbound freight.
- Liaise with CS and planning personnel
- Handle all freight with care to ensure zero damages.
- Ensure Company Health and Safety standards are followed at all times.
- Follow ADR / DG rules at all times.
- General housekeeping within the department.
- Work with the Contract Logistics division as required.
- Engage in all trainings provided.
- Perform other ad hoc duties are required.
- Support the goals and targets set out by your Manager.
- Complete incident / discrepancy reports in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience:
- Valid forklift licence is essential
- Reach truck licence desirable
- Previous experience as a forklift operator is essential
- Excellent written and spoken English skills essential
- Logistics / Transport Background desirable
- Strong Communication skills required
- Excellent written and spoken English skills essential
- Dangerous goods and Pharma handling experience
