What You Will Do:
Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the Nurse Intern will assist the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking.
Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
You Will:
- Be a nursing student having completed a minimum of one - 16 hour clinical rotation in an RN program.
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.
- Current employees must have an overall highly valued rating on their last performance review.
- Be available for New Employee Welcome (NEW) and participate in Clinical team Orientation (CTO).
- Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision.
- Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life.
- BLS CPR certification at time of hire, or ability to obtain during orientation period.
