Job Description
Reporting to the Director Legal Operations, the intern in the Legal department works directly with the in-house Legal team on a wide range of legal matters impacting the business. The expected duration of the internship is approximately 6-8 weeks.

Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts legal research on landlord-tenant law, fair housing regulations, property operations, and state/local housing requirements. Assists with reviewing and revising legal documents. Supports corporate governance and document management. Maintains legal files, templates, and contract databases. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college and pursuing a Bachelor’s or law degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in corporate and real estate law.
- Current law student enrolled in an accredited JD program, or an undergraduate student with an interest in attending law school.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skill in research and ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing
- Skill in applying critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving methods
- Skill in verbal and written communication, as well as presentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with electronic databases and compliance platforms
- Skill in organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
