American Credit Acceptance is seeking a highly organized Legal Operations Intern to support the Legal Department during Summer 2026. This role combines legal exposure with operational and administrative process support, providing experience in legal workflows, document management, compliance coordination, and corporate agreements.
- Review and provide research-based feedback on commercial agreements, non-disclosure agreements, employment law related matters, AI and information security provisions, and additional legal documents
- Research and review relevant legislation and regulatory developments to support company-wide compliance and governance operations
- Organize and maintain legal agreements, case files, ongoing Legal Department initiatives, and research
- Assist with commercial agreement library development, prepare summaries, reports, and research findings related to commercial, regulatory, and privacy law for legal leadership
- Assist with administrative legal support from time to time, including phone calls, scanning, filing, and data entry
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Support additional business initiatives and projects as assigned
- Fully onsite in Spartanburg, SC with no hybrid or remote available.
- Qualifications
- Current college student (or recent college graduate) pursuing a degree in Pre-Law, Political Science, Legal Studies, Business, Economics, or related program
- Rising college junior, senior, or recent college graduate with an interest in law school
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated academic achievement and interest in law or corporate legal operations
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Familiarity with legal research tools or databases is a plus
- Interest in corporate, transactional, compliance, or in-house legal work
- Previous internship, administrative, or professional office experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
