Applicants must hold (or be eligible to obtain) a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3 years full-time occupational experience-based endorsements:
- V200002 CTE Family and Consumer Science Education Degree
- College program and BA Degree plus 2000 Occupational Experience other than teaching.
- Must also apply for the Residency Teacher certificate
OR
- apply to add the endorsement to your teacher certificate AND take and pass the basic skills test AND the content knowledge test
OR
- V200212: Must complete an approved CTE Plan 2 Business & Industry Route Teacher preparation program
- Must submit a Bachelor's degree or higher conferral
- Verification of 6,000 hours of occupational experience as a teacher at the elementary, middle school, or secondary level
Additional Requirements
- Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer Certifications
- Pass Criminal Background Fingerprinting with WSP and FBI
- Successfully complete OSPI required training
- Must be willing to be a CTSO advisor as part of the position.
Proof of Qualification
- Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
