Job Description
The Officer is often the first business contact the customer will meet. It is an expectation that she maintains a calm, courteous and professional demeanor at all times, regardless of the customers behavior. Some personal qualities that a Officer is expected to possess in order to do the job successfully include attentiveness, a well-groomed appearance, initiative, loyalty, maturity, respect for confidentiality and discretion, a positive attitude and dependability. At times, the job may be stressful due to interaction with many different types of customers and being expected to perform multiple tasks quickly. The Officer is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in order to ensure that municipal services are provided in an effective and efficient manner
