JOB TITLE: Final Finish
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Plant Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Conduct visual inspections, operational testing and perform final finish of Aspen Aerials Under Bridge Inspection units, document testing and inspection to provide evidence that the unit was produced in compliance with the build order and meets design.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Final finish of an Under-Bridge machine includes installing decals, hose and wire protection, greasing, touch-up painting, torquing bolts and testing the machine on a bridge.
2. Complete machine operational checklists.
3. Perform final quality inspections and keep detailed documents
4. Capable of running truck mounted aerial lift equipment. Training will be provided.
5. Make sure unit is completed in accordance with current prints, Aspen Aerials’ specifications. document any that exist, it is the quality assurance’s responsibility to report them to the Production Manager or management’s representative.
6. Review operational issues, concerns with production personnel, as encountered, prior to resuming the quality check sheets.
7. Complete daily timecards with appropriate time, job and task number.
8. You must not be afraid of heights.
9. Follow all safety procedures as outlined in the Aspen Aerials Safety Manual.
10. Must maintain the workplace and keep work area in a neat, clean, orderly and well-kept manner.
11. Perform other duties in the production area as assigned. These duties may include hydraulic, electrical, and machine assembly.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
. high school diploma or GED
. General mechanical capability.
. Detail oriented and organized is a must.
. Must be able to perform functional tests.
. Must be able to perform visible weld discrepancies.
. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
. Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
. Must have good communication skills verbally and written.
. Must have or be able to obtain a Class B driver’s license.
. Must be able to work overtime as required.
. Forklift operator certification may be required.
Preferred:
Must be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Factory environment 80%. Outside running machines 20%.
Working on or around trucks and occasional outside work environment.
Working conditions include crawling on, under and around trucks and mobile hydraulic equipment.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
