Job Description

  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and ressembly of equipment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines contine to run smoothly and operate efficiently.
  • Inspect drives, motors, belts check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists and LOTO procedures.
  • Interfaces with outside technical support organizations to obrain information, procedures, technical documents and verbal instructions needed to accelerate resolutions to problems.
  • Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Diagnose mechnical problems and determine how to make repairs, check blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogues, as necessary.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
  • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, forklifts, hand tools and power tools.
  • Plan and layout repair work, using diagrams, blueprint drawings, maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Effectively and efficently submit parts orders and repair reports.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools and metering equipment.
  • Relief for coverage of shifts for absences and vacations.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.
  • Expected to supply a standard industrial set of tools. The company will supply specialtiy tools.
