Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines contine to run smoothly and operate efficiently.
Inspect drives, motors, belts check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists and LOTO procedures.
Interfaces with outside technical support organizations to obrain information, procedures, technical documents and verbal instructions needed to accelerate resolutions to problems.
Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Diagnose mechnical problems and determine how to make repairs, check blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogues, as necessary.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, forklifts, hand tools and power tools.
Plan and layout repair work, using diagrams, blueprint drawings, maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
Effectively and efficently submit parts orders and repair reports.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools and metering equipment.
Relief for coverage of shifts for absences and vacations.
Other duties as assigned and required.
Expected to supply a standard industrial set of tools. The company will supply specialtiy tools.
