DMC Bar Lead
General Purpose:
The Durango Mountain Club Bar Liaison works alongside the AGM and GM to curate and execute an elevated beverage program featuring both alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings. This role ensures the bar remains thoughtfully stocked and service-ready, provides guidance and training to bartending staff, and helps create a polished, memorable beverage experience that enhances the overall DMC member experience.
Durango Mountain Club Bar Liaison supports the AGM and GM in curating and executing a successful selection of alcoholic and NA beverages, keeping bar inventory stocked, providing training to other staff bartenders, and making sure the bar service adds value and experience to the DMC member experience.
This is a seasonal position for the 2026 Summer Season. Dates are subject to change based on applicant's availability and needs of the business. Our operating hours for the summer 2026 season are as follows: June 20 for 7-day operations through August 16th, then Fri-Sun through October 4th. Job Description
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Ordering through managers or directly of bar supplies and beverages
- Overseeing putting away of liquor orders as necessary
- Bar oversight
- Training staff on bar knowledge and execution
- Bar/Serve shifts when
- Assist managers in executing larger events
- Oversight of bar areas - emailing appropriate people when not up to standards and copy HM
Other Responsibilities:
- A keen eye to detail in making sure the club bar operates at the highest standards, from cleanliness to clutter
- Other duties as assigned by AGM, GM, or Directors
Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bar or restaurant management experience, some computer knowledge as it pertains to our ordering platforms, training staff about cocktail knowledge and execution
Education or Formal Training: HS diploma; experience will be heavily weighed
Material and Equipment Directly Used: Laptop; bar equipment; restaurant equipment
Working Environment/ Physical Activities: Job will vary from day to day, to include long hours on feet during bar shifts, carrying/lifting boxes and kegs, shoveling snow as needed.
