The Strategic Sourcing Director will be a leader of leaders’ role in supply chain strategic sourcing; and will have a deep understanding of multiple categories of spend or program/product development globally. The Strategic Sourcing Director will have accountability for a broad category of direct and/or indirect spend. The position will frequently coach strategic decisions on spend strategies and understand how to influence decisions with fact-based advanced analytics. This role will be responsible for maximizing supply chain through council leadership, strategic sourcing, enterprise collaboration and leadership alignment. The Strategic Sourcing Director will lead innovation and modernization of supply chain processes and build the next generation of supply chain talent and maximize the potential of supply chain professionals

YOUR IMPACT

  • Leader of leaders for a global segment or enterprise operation.
  • Lead and influence the ability to ensure productivity gains through execution of strategic sourcing strategies developed by leading category/sourcing teams, focus on driving increased value, improve quality/delivery, inventory and supplier right-sizing.
  • Manage category teams at the global, segment level and/or enterprise level.
  • Partners and develops relationships with the enterprise to lead and cross functional indirect and/or direct strategic sourcing and efforts that capture value for the business; connect supply chain impact to the business to drive peak performance.
  • Lead team members that collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage supply chain from initial source requirement identification to final goods and/or services delivery to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Develop and implement supply chain continuous improvement initiatives. Support supply chain maturity.
  • Extensive experience and proven effectiveness with supplier negotiations.
  • Develop/mentor on critical thinking skills of category strategy leads and councils.
  • Develop subject matter experts on spend category/commodity, market trends and prediction tools.
  • Frequent use and development of data analytics tools to conduct spend and category data analytics.
  • Advanced independent critical thinking skills to formulate business cost/value opportunities.
  • Build and coach on meaningful relationships with the supply base to regularly impact the value proposition.
  • Proficient with engineering/technical drawings and understanding of technical grammar and language of the business and category.
  • Develop the effective use of supplier refencing strategy, supplier engagement model and part taxonomy.
  • Lead and develop effective internal communication for category/commodity global markets.
  • Oversite of supply chain risk and business continuity plans.
  • Lead the validation of category/commodity prices including total cost of ownership models.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) or more years of experience within in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant industry related certifications.
  • Strategic Sourcing experience within the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

Pay Range:

$136,800.00 - $253,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
