Purpose 

The Prescriber Relations Team Leader is responsible for leading and scaling the Prescriber Relations Team (PRT), encompassing in-field Prescriber Relations Managers (PRM), to ensure an exceptional prescriber experience and support patients across therapy programs. This leader develops and executes strategies that strengthen and influence prescriber engagement through trust-based relationships, targeted education, and consistent outreach. Acts as a key liaison between internal teams (e.g. clinical, operations, digital, analytics, and care delivery teams) and the Prescriber Relations Managers (PRMs), ensuring seamless communication, issue resolution, process improvement, and disciplined adoption of tools and measurement that support prescribers’ needs and ensures the patient voice is embedded throughout the organization.

Responsibilities 

  • Leads, mentors, and develops a team of Prescriber Relations Managers, providing guidance, coaching to foster professional growth and consistent execution.
  • Establishes team standards for high-touch engagement quality, documentation, and follow-through; ensures consistent onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Builds a performance-driven culture grounded in patient-first values, compliant engagement practices, and clear expectations tied to patient outcomes and referral quality.
  • Develops and executes PRT strategies aligned to improving patient outcomes, prescriber needs, and organizational goals including adherence, engagement, access, satisfaction, and equity.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to ensure PRT alignment with launch readiness, program changes, and communication planning.
  • Oversees strategies that maintain trusted relationships with prescribers and office teams, ensuring engagement approaches reflect office preferences and program requirements.
  • Influences prescriber decision‑making by demonstrating how PANTHERx improves outcomes for their patients.
  • Serves as the point of escalation for complex prescriber issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution while maintaining empathy and service standards.
  • Establishes clear internal escalation pathways and feedback loops to address recurring issues and improve prescriber experience.
  • Delivers targeted education that helps prescribers understand when and how to use available PANTHERx services.
  • Builds organizational reputation through positive, value‑driven prescriber interactions.
  • Monitors and improves processes related to prescriber support, issue resolution, and field-to-internal coordination to optimize efficiency and reliability.
  • Identifies opportunities for quality enhancements and operational efficiencies; implements best practices for prescriber support and patient outcomes.
  • Translates patient insights into actionable improvements across care pathways, digital touchpoints, and service models.
  • Defines, monitors, and communicates key metrics and performance indicators to guide decision-making (e.g., prescriber referral quality, service responsiveness, referral pathway adoption, and prescriber satisfaction).
  • Drives disciplined adoption of CRM and data tools to enable accurate and consistent notes, and continuity (e.g., CRM and related insights).
  • Leads regular review routines and translates findings into improvement actions to executive leadership.
  • Partners with internal teams including implementation, clinical services, operations, and marketing to align goals and deliver a seamless prescriber experience.
  • Ensures patient engagement efforts align with regulatory, compliance, and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Attends conferences and in-person meetings as required; conducts periodic field ride-along and key account visits to support coaching and relationship continuity.
  • Fosters partnerships with patient advocacy groups, community organizations, and internal councils where appropriate.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned (e.g. prescriber KOL advisory development).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in prescriber engagement, patient experience, care management, specialty pharmacy, or a related regulated healthcare environments (provider systems, life sciences, payers, or integrated delivery networks).
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, preferably in a customer-facing healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated success leading initiatives tied to patient outcomes, quality metrics, or value‑based care performance.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives without sales or revenue ownership.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to identify trends and implement strategic initiatives to drive outcomes and executive decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Veeva) and analytics tools.
  • Prior experience in process improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations and healthcare payer landscapes.

 Work Environment

This job operates in a home office and professional office environment. When in-office this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and communications via MS Teams.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading, observing surroundings and working with various forms of data on a screen.
