The Senior Field Service Engineer Senior (Sr. FSE) repairs, maintains, calibrates and cleans instruments for Radiometer Mexico (RMEX). The Sr. FSE troubleshoots and diagnoses product problems in a timely manner, continues positive customer relationships and develops partnerships with Sales to aid in uncovering additional selling opportunities.

The Sr. FSE is a representative of Radiometer and has a proven strong sense of expertise in Radiometer products, services and capabilities and serves as a key educator to our customer business accounts, Sales Representatives and Field Service Engineers. Strong mentoring and trainer skills are needed to provide technical support for customers and employees from subsidiaries, distributors and integrators from Mexico and Latin America. The successful FSE has a strong IT toolbox with knowledge around networks, connectivity, cyber security and overall IT topology. The successful FSE also has a commercial mindset and flexible working hours.

This position reports to the Field Service Leader and is part of the Service Department located in Mexico City and will be working remotely to cover Mexico and occasionally Latin America

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Technical Service & Maintenance: Install, repair, calibrate, clean, and test instruments; perform preventative maintenance by following logical troubleshooting procedures and diagnosing problems in a timely planner; maintain field parts inventory, testing devices and tools, and a clean, safe work environment at the customer site and in the company vehicle; comply with all regulatory and company required documentation, as well as company standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Customer Support & On-Call Coverage: Deliver exceptional customer service through training, follow-up visits, and consultation on analyzer, IT, IoT, and cybersecurity needs. Participate in scheduled on-call rotations, including documentation, attending on-site visits, including nights and weekends for VIP customers, and maintaining continuous communication with the Field Service Leader to ensure all service visits are attended accordingly and on time.
  • Sales Collaboration & Regional Support: Act as a service consultant and support sales initiatives by identifying customer needs, promoting service offerings, and participating in sales presentations. Build strong partnerships with sales teams, contribute to customer satisfaction efforts, and provide cross-regional coverage as needed.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • University degree in Engineering or other technical careers, such as Biomedical, Electronics, and Mechanics
  • Three or more years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a related technical role, with demonstrated proficiency in HIS/LIS installation and troubleshooting, analyzer network connectivity setup, and direct support to LIS/HIS providers. Brings foundational knowledge of IoT, networking, IT, and cybersecurity, along with a strong commercial mindset—understanding customer needs, industry challenges, and the business drivers that impact profitability.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel through Mexico and Latin America with visits to headquarters and other Radiometer subsidiaries.
  • Must be able to have flexible working hours and must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20kg, with assistance from others.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • IT skills and knowledge in SQL database, Java, Mirth, and Windows Server
  • Medical device field
