What Will You Do?
The Operations Manager is responsible for overall plant performance, leading and coordinating manufacturing, quality, production planning, inventory management, and shipping/receiving. This role also partners closely with purchasing, engineering, and sales to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective operations.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, analytical, and passionate about developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Performance will be measured across key metrics including quality, on-time delivery, lead time, labor efficiency, cost, safety, and productivity.
• Foster a strong safety culture through adherence to policies, procedures, and OSHA standards
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational plans and policies
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions
• Oversee key manufacturing support programs, including training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, and workforce management
• Plan and manage staffing levels based on production forecasts
• Delegate and guide projects to improve processes, efficiency, and cost effectiveness
• Ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System

Safety
Promote a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and continuously improving safety performance.
People
Develop, train, and coach team members. Ensure adherence to standards through structured training programs and audits.
Quality
Partner with Quality Assurance to meet or exceed quality KPIs and adhere to ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
On-Time Delivery
Collaborate with project management to ensure timely delivery of products.
Cost Management
Drive cost improvement initiatives and manage performance against budgeted labor and material targets.
Operational Efficiency
Monitor and control indirect costs to minimize manufacturing variances and improve overall efficiency.
Team Leadership
Set clear goals, communicate expectations, and coach employees to achieve performance objectives and career growth.
