POSITION SUMMARY

 

The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the functions of a financial organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Assist with day-to-day banking operations and administrative tasks

 

Work with various departments and employees within the bank 


Support customer service activities and respond to customer inquiries


Help prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and presentations


Conduct basic market and financial research

 

Assist relationship managers and banking staff with customer documentation

 

Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of data

 

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special projects


Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

 

Energetic, organized and detailed skilled with today’s technology


Active in extracurricular activities within community and campus life


Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment


Independent worker


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Ability to dedicate 20 hours per week to this Intern Program



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Constant use of computer screens and reading reports


Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile


Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear


Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials


Regularly lift and/or move and carry up to 10 pounds
