About this Role
The Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team, serving as the primary escalation point for system-related questions, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role provides direct supervision to AP staff and supports process consistency, compliance and continuous improvement, enabling the AP Manager to focus on strategic initiatives and projects.
What You'll Do
- Supervise daily activities of the AP team, including invoice processing, payment runs and vendor maintenance
- Provide guidance, training and mentorship to AP Specialists and Senior AP Specialists
- Act as first point of escalation for complex transactional issues and system-related questions
- Monitor workload distribution and ensure deadlines and service levels are met
- Assist in performance management, including feedback and development planning
- Support system updates, testing and implementations as needed
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience working within an ERP system
- Experience working within JD Edwards
- Experience working within Concur for expense management
- Leadership and team development
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Self-starter who can work independently while supporting the needs of the team
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
- Effective time management skills
- Travel: Yes
