Job Description
As a Senior Finance Specialist, you will play a key role within BCG’s North America Regional Finance Shared Services team, supporting the day-to-day execution of Time Management processes. You will partner closely with regional and local Finance teams, case teams, and stakeholders across BCG’s North America offices. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in financial operations, data management, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include workload distribution, mentoring team members, supporting audit cycles and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Time Management Process Execution
- Execute day-to-day Time Management operational activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to SLA requirements
- Process timesheet corrections, manage escalations, and support stakeholder communications in a timely and professional manner
- Support the NAMR inbox triaging by routing, resolving, and following up on requests within scope
- Provide operational coverage by managing transactional activities and redistributing workload during team absences or leave periods
Quality & Compliance
- Perform quality checks on individual and team work, including first-level audits to ensure compliance with revenue recognition requirements
- Monitor assigned trackers and proactively flag SLA risks, discrepancies, or process anomalies to management
- Identify recurring error patterns and process gaps, escalating findings with clear documentation and actionable recommendations
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance, training, and day-to-day support to colleagues
Reporting & Analysis
- Maintain and update internal databases and trackers using Microsoft Excel to support audit processes and revenue reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile reports to support financial accuracy and decision-making
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Shared Services Finance Manager
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Staffing, and Operations teams to resolve timesheet corrections and discrepancies
- Participate in stakeholder calls and contribute to weekly reporting and follow-up activities
- Resolve minor exceptions independently; escalate complex issues to the manager with a clear summary and recommendation
- B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of finance experience, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of data entry or transactional finance experience
- Demonstrated experience coordination of day to day operation experience
- Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in business, financial management, and accounting
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred
- Experience working with data analytics tools (Tableau, Fabric, Power Automate, Power BI) preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data handling and reporting
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results within deadlines
- High degree of independence, self-motivation, and accountability
As part of the North America Regional Finance Shared Services team, you will partner closely with regional Finance teams, local Finance teams in BCG locations across North America, case teams, and clients participating in the delivery of reliable financial services to support business needs.
