The Position

Primary Purpose of Job (Job Summary)
This role serves as a hybrid strategic leader, combining the leadership of a composite team (comprising Medical Information & Medical Review and AI Product) with the development of a data- and AI-driven medical communication strategy.
The mandate is anchored in establishing a "data-driven medical communication flywheel": leveraging AI to proactively capture customer perception insights, building personalized content generation platforms, and developing localized digital education platforms to empower strategic business decisions. Furthermore, the role drives the transformation of traditional MI and MR business models through the introduction of Agent technologies, forging a new paradigm of human-machine collaboration in medical inquiries and automated pre-approvals to accelerate internal process efficiencies and support high-quality business growth under strict compliance standards.

Principal Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities

1. AI-Driven Strategy & Flywheel Construction Development and execution of a long-term, data-centric medical communication strategy, ensuring strict alignment with overarching business goals.

  • Proactive Insight Generation: Leadership in leveraging AI tools (e.g., Social Listening) to proactively capture and analyze customer behaviors and perceptions, identifying market trends and opportunities to provide data-backed support for business decisions.

  • Content Generation Platform & Impact: Establishment of a robust content generation platform to significantly accelerate the production speed of high-quality medical education materials. Leadership in the rapid construction of core scientific messaging and educational content derived from AI-driven insights to effectively influence and transform customer perceptions and clinical behaviors.

  • Personalized Platform Development: Oversight of the construction of personalized content generation platforms and localized digital education platforms to ensure the medical value proposition is delivered precisely and efficiently based on targeted user personas.

2. Digital Product & Solution Leadership Lead the development, evolution, and ecosystem cooperation for strategic digital assets, ensuring they deliver measurable value to patients and the healthcare system.

  • Portfolio Lifecycle Management: Oversee the roadmap and execution of key AI solutions, specifically, Social Listening, Content Generation, Digital Communication, MI Agent, and MR Agent.

  • Agile Iteration: Driving the continuous iteration of cutting-edge technologies, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), within medical communication scenarios to optimize product performance in an evolving market landscape.

3. AI Agent Innovation & Human-Machine Collaboration

  • Traditional Business Transformation: Leading the introduction and deployment of MI Agents and MR Agents to fundamentally revolutionize traditional medical information inquiries and compliance review workflows.

  • Model Innovation: Establishment of a human-machine collaboration model for medical Q&A (MI Agent) and automated pre-approvals (MR Agent) to achieve a quantum leap in business responsiveness while ensuring 100% adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.


4. Team Leadership & Capability Development Management and mentorship of a hybrid team of MI/MR and AI Product.

  • Team Synergy: Elimination of functional barrier between traditional medical communication operations and technical product management to create a unified, high-performance delivery engine.

  • Talent Development: Coaching team members to develop both medical communication acumen and AI product management skills, building a robust talent pipeline for the future digital communication environment.

Qualification and Experience

  • Education: Master‘s degree or above in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Life Sciences, or Computer Science (AI focus).

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on Medical Affairs, Medical Communication (MI/MR), or Digital Transformation.

  • Professional Capability: Demonstrated track record in product management for digital platforms or leading medical excellence/operations teams; familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.

Job Required Competencies

1. Strategic Roadmapping: Ability to define and execute a comprehensive AI strategy for all therapeutic areas in medical communication. Ability to prioritize a portfolio of digital initiatives based on ROI and strategic fit.
2. AI & Product Fluency: Deep understanding of the AI product lifecycle—from ideation and POC (Proof of Concept) to scaling and maintenance. Familiarity with AI technologies (LLMs, Predictive Analytics, Computer Vision) sufficient to guide technical teams and manage vendor ecosystems.
3. Ecosystem & Partnership: Experience identifying, vetting, and managing external innovation partners (startups, tech giants, academic institutions) to accelerate solution delivery.
4. Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to effectively synergize with IT, Medical, Commercial, and Access teams to achieve strategic consensus. Capable of fostering a cohesive culture where "business needs" and "tech solutions" merge seamlessly.
5. Stakeholder Influence: Senior-level presence to engage and influence Business Unit Heads and Franchise Leaders. Ability to articulate the value of AI investments in business terms (e.g., patient outcomes, efficiency, market differentiation).
6. Change Management: Strong capability to drive mindset shifts within the organization, advocating for data-driven decision-making and the adoption of new digital tools.
7. Agility & Resilience: Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a rapidly evolving environment; ability to pivot strategies quickly based on market feedback or technological shifts.
