Registered Nurse PRN Pediatric Hematology and Oncology

**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse II S – Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic 

**Location:** University of Maryland Medical Center Downtown Campus 

**Job Type:** PRN 

**Position Overview:** 

UMMC DTC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse II S to join our Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Clinic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in Pediatrics, Oncology, or Hematology settings. This role requires a compassionate, skilled nurse committed to providing exceptional care to our young patients and their families.

**Key Responsibilities:** 

- Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients diagnosed with hematologic and oncologic conditions. 

- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. 

- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document all care activities accurately. 

- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment plans, and symptom management. 

- Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. 

- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.

**Qualifications:** 

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license. 

- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience. 

- Preferred experience in Pediatrics, Oncology, or Hematology nursing. 

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outpatient, multidisciplinary environment. 

**Work Schedule:** 

- PRN (as needed) to support clinic operations and patient care demands.
